CHAMPS - PANTHERS 12U Blue

The New York Panthers 12U Blue team won the NSA Blast At The Beach Championship at Ocean City MD this past weekend to earn a berth in the NSA World Series.  The team went 1 - 2 on Saturday to seed 7, but came out strong on Sunday to go 4 - 0 to take the tournament. Our outfielders came up with big plays throughout the day.

Elimination Round on Sunday

NY Panthers Blue vs. Xtreme            9 - 1

Pitcher Casey Sclafani picked up the win while Lisa Lisa Cutrona had 2 hits with 2 runs scored, Brittany O'Brian , two hits , two runs 

NY Panthers Blue vs. Maryland Stars Black            11 - 2

Victoria Capozucca was the winning pitcher Stephanie DeMartino 2 for 3, Dayna DiClemente single double, two RBI, three Runs scored, Brittany O'Brian single double with three RBI 

NY Panthers Blue vs. Maryland Heartbreakers            8 - 3

Victoria Capozucca picked up her second win of the day. Casey Sclafani triple, two RBI, two Runs. Nicolette Sinagra 2 - 3, Gina Palmeri added a double  

Championship Game

NY Panthers Blue vs.  Lady Orioles                         4 - 3

 Casey Sclafani was the winning pitcher while Victoria Capozucca picked up the save. With the score tied at 2 in the eighth inning, Nicolette Sinagra drove in at the time the go ahead run while Erica Sollazzo with heads up base running  never stopped running and scored what proved to be the winning run as the Orioles scored in the bottom half of the inning. Stephanie DeMartino gunned down two base runners late in the game to stop two potential Orioles rally.
