CHAMPS - PANTHERS 12U Blue

The New York Panthers 12U Blue team won the Yorktown Independence day (Pony Qualifier) tournament this past weekend .  The team went 3 - 0 on Saturday to seed second.

Seeding Round on Saturday

NY Panthers Blue vs. Ulster Phillies            6 - 2

Pitcher Dayna DiClemente picked up the win while Stephanie DeMartino went three for three with a walk, Casey Sclafani had a triple with two RBI 

NY Panthers Blue vs. Fire N Ice (Blizzard)            12 - 0

Victoria Capozucca was the winning pitcher, Gina Palmeri went three for three two runs, two RBI, Nicolette Sinagra had a triple . 

NY Panthers Blue vs. New York Challenge             6 - 5

Victoria Capozucca picked up her second win of the day in relief as The Panthers came from behind to score two runs in the seventh inning. Brittany O'Brien went three for three with one RBI and a run scored, Stephanie DeMartino added a single and double. 

Elimination Round on Sunday

NY Panthers Blue vs. Yorktown Thunder             10 - 9  

Victoria Capozucca picked up the win  in relief as the Panthers came from behind and scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh for the win. DeMartino continued her hot hitting , collecting three more hits, Sclafani and Sinagra each had a triple and Katie Scarangello had a key double.

NY Panthers Blue vs. Fire N Ice (Blizzard)             4 - 1 

Nicolette Sinagra picked up two hits and Victoria Capozucca picked up her second win of the day. 

Championship Game

NY Panthers Blue vs. Stratford Breakers                         6 - 5

  Victoria Capozucca was the winning pitcher for her third win of the day. Casey Sclafani belted a three run homer and scored three runs, Katie Scarangello added a double while Dominique DeMatteo drove in what proved to be the winning run.
